Meet Rob

Rob first joined the Local Governing Body at Idsall School before becoming a Trustee when it moved to a Single Academy Trust. When Idsall School joined the Marches Academy Trust, Rob joined the Trustee team and has taken on roles as Vice Chair of Trustees and he is also the Chair of the Finance and Operations committee. He brings a wealth of experience mainly from his role at the National Governance Association (NGA).

About Rob

Rob has a background in marketing, blending expertise in IT and e-business, with extensive experience in education governance, business development, and partnership working. As Director of Marketing and Communications at the National Governance Association, which provides services to the majority of schools and Trusts in England, he leads PR and communications, member marketing, governance development, customer services, and digital strategy, supporting effective governance across the education sector. He has held a range of governance roles, including chairing a single academy trust and a local governing board, and serving as a trustee. Rob is a recognised expert in the responsible use of AI in schools and trusts and regularly speaks at national education conferences on governance, digital transformation, and AI.
