Meet Miriam

BA (hons) QTS, Post Grad. Cert. in SpLD Dyslexia; Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association – AMBDA Dyslexia & Dyscalculia, Current SpLD Assessment Practising Certificate (APC): Approved Practitioner Status (Dyscalculia)

Miriam is a qualified teacher with over 30 years of teaching experience across the primary and middle school age ranges in roles including SENCo, Assistant and Deputy Headteacher.  She has worked for MAT Outreach Services for over seven years and is able to carry out a range of diagnostic assessments for cognition and learning and specific learning difficulties – dyslexia and dyscalculia, access arrangements at Secondary level and non-diagnostic assessments for SEMH and Neurodiversity.

About Miriam

Along with ensuring that she is up to date with the latest developments in her specialist fields, she is passionate about working in partnership with learners, schools, parents/carers and other professionals in recognising individuals’ strengths, engaging their interest and supporting any identified needs.

In her free time, when not working for Outreach Services, Miriam enjoys spending time outdoors, walking the family’s dogs, cold water swimming, spending time with family and friends, drumming with a local Samba band and engaging in various volunteering roles including the local church, Scouts, swimming and athletics teams.
