Supporting the local community

The 4 All Foundation began operating as a community organisation in 2022 and registered with the Charity Commission, as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), in June 2023 (Registered Charity number 1203479). The 4 All Foundation was founded by the Marches Academy Trust, with the aim of supporting those living in the communities where the Trust schools are located. The 4 All Foundation carries out its charitable purposes supporting children, young people, adults, and older residents in Shropshire and the surrounding counties, to reach their full potential.

The Foundation responds to the needs of those in the community by working in partnership with local town councils (Shropshire Council and Telford and Wrekin Council), other charities, and education providers, and by communicating directly with the local community.

The work of the charity is delivered through local community hubs, in partnership with local councils and through outreach work within the community, in high need areas.

What's the goal?

Operated through an independent Trustee Board, the 4 All Foundation seeks to support communities associated with the schools within the Trust. The Foundation strives to achieve its charitable objectives by offering diverse programs, including holiday clubs, educational workshops, environmental groups, and refugee support clinics. By focusing on children, young people, adults, and older residents in Shropshire and nearby counties, the Foundation aims to facilitate their journey toward reaching their personal best.

Governance

The 4 All Foundation is governed by a constitution dated 21st April 2023. The charity is led by a board of seven trustees. Three members of the board are connected to Marches Academy Trust.

The objects of the charity are:

  • To advance the education of those living in Shropshire and the surrounding counties through the provision of workshops and courses to develop their skills, enable them to achieve qualifications and create employability opportunities.
  • To promote and protect the health and wellbeing of those living in Shropshire and the surrounding counties through the provision of, but not limited to, health education workshops and resources and support groups.
  • To support those in need, by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial or other disadvantage living in Shropshire and the surrounding counties by providing safe spaces, delivering specialist programmes and equipment and through family support networks.
  • To relieve poverty amongst those living in Shropshire and the surrounding counties, and their dependents, through the provision of items, payment for services, the provision of facilities and through the delivery of educational programmes.

Foundation Objectives

  • Continuing with the 4 All Foundation’s current funded programmes (youth clubs, HAF programmes, eco workshops, SEND workshops through sport and community safe hubs) aiming to support over 600 people in areas including Market Drayton, Shrewsbury, Telford, Wem and Whitchurch.
  • Securing funding for programmes that are currently operating, but require additional financial assistance, aiming to support an additional 300 people in Wem, Prees and Shifnal.
  • Developing health and wellbeing services, with a focus on mental health. We will do this through the development of our existing programmes and by responding to opportunities where capacity and funding allows.
  • Growing the arts provision through our project work, investing in opportunities such as a community choir, traditional arts provisions, multi-school drama performances and in music, where capacity and funding allows.
