Meet Alison

Alison has been involved with the early years of the Trust’s development from its inception as a leader in The Marches School. She joined the Trust’s Executive group on a part time basis, continuing to have the on the ground view of Headship in a large secondary school. Alison supports leaders in Secondary has a specialism in data and performance.

About Alison

Alison is a science specialist with early experience of both subject leadership, as a leader in a successful department, and pastoral leadership as Head of Year for KS4. She moved to The Marches School 18 years ago as Assistant Headteacher with leadership of data, assessment, AfL, examinations and student and parent voice, later moving to lead the school’s Pastoral team as a Deputy Head, remodelling the structures and systems to build on the capacity to support students and staff.

As Associate Headteacher and then Headteacher of the school for the last 6 years, Alison has grown strong and confident leaders, with many leaders moving onto promotion and their own Headships. She joined the Executive Team for the Trust to widen her scope to support other leaders, whilst retaining the live experience of headship and the joy and demands of the role. Alison has a Masters in Education, the NPQH and NPQEL.
