About Us

MATi Outreach Services is a well-established, highly respected and flexible traded service providing pupil assessment, training and consultancy to schools, Local Authorities and other agencies across Shropshire and the West Midlands.

Our specialist teachers are highly qualified, experienced and well-respected professionals who have taught in mainstream and specialist settings and each specialist teacher holds a portable enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

What We Offer?

A wide range of services are offered including individual assessment, interventions, support for teacher, consultancy and training.

Schools and other organisations are welcome to contact us to discuss individual needs and the range of bespoke, specialist support that could be provided.

Feedback from our support, assessments and services:

“MATi Outreach Services offer an excellent service, a thorough assessment process, detailed reports and good advice”

“Having the opportunity to engage in an in depth, face to face conversation where questions could be asked, and issues further explored with Niki at MATi Outreach Services made a huge difference and was so much more useful than a lengthy report.”

Neurodiversity Support

Our experienced staff provide support for pupils, staff and families including advice and strategies to support a range of needs that can be related to neurodiversity including difficulties with social interaction and communication needs, challenging behaviour, sensory needs, anxiety, attachment and low self-esteem.  We are not able to diagnose Autism or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) as these are medical conditions and require assessment by the appropriate health professionals.

We provide a range of assessments and support for pupils, schools and families which includes but is not limited to:

  • Individual assessment and report which includes observations, discussion with families and school staff. These allow us to provide advice and recommendations to help a pupil with ND or possibly ND related difference e.g. recognising emotions, making and managing friendships, social skills, handling change, anxiety and worry.
  • Plan-Do-review consultation assessment with families and/or school to inform person centred planning and SMART outcomes for children and young people.
  • Motor Skills, Sensory or Stressor screenings for individual pupils, provide feedback and recommendations
  • Support for pupils in understanding their Autism Spectrum diagnosis and suggest resources and approaches to families and staff
  • Support for vulnerable pupils with transitions between year groups or schools eg year 6 to year 7, early years to year 1.
